Esoteric Update #197 - Hospital Visit Did Not Go Well

Ah yes, two weeks have passed and... yeah, as the title states, I've not had a good time at the hospital. I ended up being held over for about three times as long as I expected. And after returning, I've been in a slump since then. I did my best to work on something once I returned, but I didn't manage to bite into it as hard as I had hoped. As a result, I've not rested; I'm, in fact, exhausted and remain in a fair bit of discomfort due to my condition. Oh well, there's not much to be done about it.

Here's some lore; I hope you can enjoy it. It's one I liked writing:

Lore: The Other Are Both Grand And Terrifying

Also, there's been a game I've been thinking of a lot. So I've written a bit about what I think about it and why I've enjoyed it, despite its issues:

Impressions – Soul Hackers 2

But, let's get to the update proper.

I've just been really torn in a lot of directions. I've started a bunch of research and writing tasks over the last week, but there's little solid progress I've made with any of the latter. The former went better; I've managed to educate myself on any issues I felt I needed to know to work on the bar.

The aura reading module was the biggest thing I pushed forward with concerning writing. It's a somewhat complicated issue that has to cover a lot of variables. Fortunately, I've managed to go over most of them, but I'll still need to fill out the possibilities. Here are some examples of the finished readings based on randomly generated details:

I'm not sure what I'll be doing for the next bit of time. I'm still tired and want a longer break, but I'm not sure I can afford it. So I think I'll try to poke at the problems one by one until I can start crossing things off the TODO list.

Please prioritize your own health and get well soon. Eat well, sleep well and take a few more days of rest.

I know that feeling of exhaustion and general discomfort after a stay at a hospital and hope you get back to normal soon and don't need three weeks like I did a few years ago.

Make sure to take breaks when you can. It’s ok to be in a slump every now and then.
