Esoteric Update #310 - Light Mode?

Ah, update day once more.

Like I said last time, I spent a fair share of the week working on the new/corrected/amended item system, or specifically, the new file format. And I think I have something viable, and even if not, appending new data to items will be much easier now. Most of the changes are superficial, but one significant change is that items now have an intrinsic monetary value; this will be used for various cases of logic, including (but not limited to) shops.

However, I didn't work exclusively on the items. And I think I can share some more pictures here, at least. I did some testing and troubleshooting of the new UI system, including API changes, tweaks to the CSS and experimenting with how colour schemes might work. Among other things, I did toy around with a bight-mode, but this is likely not going into the game:

Additionally, I started re-implementing the UI in a practical sense; that is, rewriting the various UI panels using the new UI API and here's how the title page looks now:

I've also moved some interactions into modals (instead of separate views) like here:

I'm trying to move towards restoring functionality for some of the tools ASAP (like regenerators and the console) so I can more efficiently work with the data (for the moment, that would be the clothing).

Furthermore, I have to say I'm incredibly pleased with how a lot of the new capabilities are shaping up. Modals are both functional and quite flexible (they dynamically load new HTML from the file system), the rendering looks sharper, and the new UI sounds (while not final) give a little more life to interactions.
