Esoteric Update #70 - I'm not feeling that well...


I'm not feeling that great, so I just want to make this quick. Over the last week, I worked more on the shopping systems. I made some adjustments to item rarity, replaced the item descriptions with much better ones and made the shop actually available in-game (you can go to the mall, and it's there). But wait, there's more! I also expanded the API with array literals, fixed some bugs (that is to say, leftover debug code that shouldn't be used anymore) and did something with travel. Let me expand on that last one, there's a park in the game and a place known as the mysterious door, if you explore the park you run into that door, as you might know. Previously moving between those locations caused a whole travel sequence. But they are extremely close, so I changed it so that those two locations have their own shorter transition texts. If more such places appear in the game later on, they will most definitely be treated the same way, using the code that's already there. I know it's a small detail, but it was something that was bugging me for a longer time, and I'm glad to have it done now. I'm only keeping this short because I don't feel well, I'll try to show off some more images next time.
