Esoteric Update #85 - As the Jamming comes to an end...

Let's talk a bit about how things have been going.

Firstly, I'm fine, most of the people I know are fine, some people are sick, and there are some other complications. But we're trucking along. Hopefully, it's better on your side.

More so I wanted to talk about the Jam and how things have been going with that lately. So at first, everything was going fine, I got the art, I adjusted/fixed the art and did the paperdoll, did the animation systems and all that. It wasn't great, but with the quality of art, I was working with I think I did pretty alright.

Then this whole pandemic/epidemic hit and the world got a lot crazier. Fortunately, I'm among people who's jobs were not affected in any way. It wasn't simple, but we manage to switch to a mostly remote mode of operation. But the whole mood of it is getting to me.

I'm supposed to write a satirical story amidst a global crisis that's also, incidentally, slowly driving me into depression, I think. And it's not working. I'll do my best to finish it, but it's not going to be polished, it's not going to have animations, even though the system is there. I just want it over, and I want to get back to working on my game.

In short: this was a mistake. I shouldn't have wasted my time on it.

Maybe at some point, I'll feel better, and we'll be able to improve it. Finish it, give it some polish and tidy up the animations.

Right now though I want it to be over already.
