Esoteric Update #112 - A Cordial Invitation to Discord

So this week was horrible for me. The plan was to finish the stuff I started last week, none of that happened though. Instead, I ended up lashing out in a dozen different, random directions. So let's talk about the mess I made.

First up, you are cordially invited to the Discord server. I changed the rules a little bit, here's the gist of it. Without being a Patron, you can text post in a dedicated public chat channel + see what's happening in the development channel. If you are a Guest Patron, you can post in the public chat, and you have more options when posting there (images, etc.) as well as the ability to see more channels. And finally, Member lets you post in most channels. So here's a link:

And now for my rather eclectic body of work over the last week! Let's start off with a small return I did towards idiolectic filters. Specifically, I implemented drunkness as a filter, in several different ways. Let's start out with the text as it appears without filters:

Secondly, I've also touched on the Internet side of things and added... well... added this. The static image doesn't really do it justice as the whole circle of signs is animated. But I had a specific goal with this. While it might not look like much, this represents my first attempt at communicating with a REST type API from inside of the engine. The experiment was successful.

I've also done some minor stuff, new lore, new erotica, some more playing around with documents, fixing bugs and other such things. You know what? I will add though, that I just last week noticed that I was somehow missing trigonometric functions and logarithms in the API. That's fixed now.

I've not been feeling well lately, the whole COVID situation is driving me into an unpleasant place, emotionally. Hence I was feeling anxious, stressed and scatterbrained over the last week and did not get much done. I'll try to get back on track over the next few days.
