Rebranding to Nekomancers United

If you look at my Patreon name, you might notice that it changed. I've decided to rebrand from a personal Patreon to a team one. But please understand, nothing is actually changing. What I am doing is giving credit to people who help with the game regularly. The recognition that they deserve for supporting me in this way for a longer time. The two people who have decided to officially be part of my team are Desertopa and Dolly. The second of whom, in particular, has been working with me on and off since the beginning of the project. Now, there are a few (two) more people who could also be listed here, but they have chosen to instead to help from the shadows, unnamed but contributing a little bit here and there.

Puffy be me, b.t.w.

Desertopa says:

"When I first came to EroDev, where I met Puffy, a couple years ago, it seemed like the place contained only a bare handful of like-minded developers engaged in making interesting or original works featuring erotic content, without a "fuck it, it's porn" approach to quality and concept.

As I spent more time there, even that bare handful seemed to mostly dwindle away. I continued to look for other developers with whom I could make games outside of what's possible with my own limited skill set. But Puffy stayed, and kept working constantly on the same game. And my efforts to find and spend time with other developers with whom I could share ideas mostly narrowed to spending time with Puffy.

Contributing writing to this game feels, in a way, like an unavoidable necessity; without Puffy, I probably wouldn't have had the patience to stick around in the developer community at all. Honestly, I never feel like I've contributed as much as I should have, but hopefully people will enjoy at least some of what I've put into the game. I also write for a visual novel, Complex Relations, which may or may not have any audience overlap with this game."

Complex Relations is a very interesting game. A work of erotic fiction that respects both the male and the female perspective of intimate relationships and sex. Once they release their demo, I'll most definitely be showing it off here. In regards to the game, there's no one big thing he worked on that I can point to, but some of his input can be found in multiple events and conversations. He also wrote content for Waifu and Dating, in particular the bit of it that went into the Trucking Along ending.

Dolly says:

"As someone new to writing for a project like this, it never stops feeling kinda... unreal that I'm really helping write for a game, that my writing is handled much like a virtual epitaph for people to happily consume. Like, not just that my writing is being published, but... part of something, something that'd either not be like it is or exist without my writing. Even if you remind me that my writing is obviously valued, it still feels... unreal. Not unlike a daydream. In a positive way, though - honest!

Having been with the game since Puffy started the project, the feeling that I haven't done anywhere near enough lingers with me constantly, but it's admittedly also why I've readily jumped at any chance to help with it lately, and I suppose it's kinda embarassing to perk up at 'hey can you help me with something'. Uh. Puffy did ask me to write this as part of the Monday update, but goodness knows I don't want to give you, the reader-person-you the impression that I overexaggerate my presence in the game, but obviously I do... hope that you do like the content I do provide, and I do really want to provide all the more.

As for the sort of perfectly upstanding wret- citizen-person I am, emphasis on I, I'm... a hobbyist writer, and the game is really a big chance for me to get to write for something besides a portfolio of porn (well, different porn) and also helping out a very important catfriend (which is equally as important if not even moreso). Mayhaps that's a little too brief, but... I don't want to overfocus on myself over the game and my input to the game, really; certainly, I have my doubts people would be very interested in a weirdo like me, and moreso what I provide. Uh.

I'm good at this. Really."

You have to excuse her, she suffers from an advanced form of Dunning-Kruger, which makes her absolutely undervalue her expertise in many fields, like writing. Most of Dolly's contributions go towards small extensions and fixes to my writing, and even writing some unseen (yet) lore books. There are two more significant parts written by her that I can point out. Mortimer's shoppe and all of the fluff in the Index is her doing, as well as the final version of Waifu and Dating, which she has thoroughly edited based on my original writing.

Maybe sometimes in the future, one of the other people who have been helping me out chooses to reveal themselves, but until then, let's say that these two people and I work on E♥E.
