Esoteric Update #137 - Chokers Are Socially Acceptable Training Collars

Lore for this week:

Lore: Ur-Mother
Lore: The Occultist's Relationship With Domestic Terrorism

Now for the update itself. First off, I updated the indev version available for download. The reason for this is a pair of bugs that got caught and fixed recently. One relates to an order of operations crash when opening containers at home after performing other interactions. The second was merely a visual bug related to rounding the weight of items. I'm, as always, grateful for any bug reports.

Now for the actual update. I got stuck on a specific component. Not so much coding it as trying to figure out how to code it, so I don't have problems with it down the line. It's a wrapper that builds hierarchical menus, and it's kind of essential for the AI-driven stuff to allow the player to respond appropriately to what the AI is doing. Since the AI is dynamic and modular, I couldn't just write a static menu for the player's responses. This module ensures that I can handle player responses in an equally dynamic way. Apart from that, I've been working on mocking up the interactions and handling some of my backlogs. The API is once more up to date, and I've pushed forward with the new clothing items and a new cosmetics class - hair dyes.

Oh, there's one more thing that slipped in. There are chokers in the game now. They are accessible from the debug wardrobe, but they have not been tested; it's just an accidental thing that slipped into this version. I still need to work on corsets and then put it through some testing.

I've had a tough day at work today, so I'll finish the update here. Next week I should have some working beginnings of the AI-driven interactions with Corny.
