Esoteric Update #190 - Fashion Disasters


I'm back from work, which was a nightmare, so let me just get this out of the way as quickly and efficiently as possible. There's no lore this time; I don't have the energy to upload it.

I was trying to get through as much backlog as possible but also ended up trying to scrutinise the game a bit more automatically. So I exposed some more values through the API and looked into how they change as you play the game. I was positively surprised by most of my findings but then realised there are some issues I need to address when things that should affect the numbers in one way were affecting them in another. So basically, a large part of what I did over the weekend was fixing glaring holes in the code.


That said, we also managed to get some new things in. Firstly, there's some new fashion.

The coat options have expanded:


And we now have hats:


There was also some event work done but mmmm... I'm reluctant to talk about it. Let's say it's about things like emotion integration, new tools to build events (hey, we can now manipulate clothing in the GB system), and some new event writing.

In any case, we still have some headware to introduce that's harder to generate and some other things that need to be fleshed out and finished.

Sorry if this is somewhat laconic, but this is all the energy I have for today. Work will continue to be a significant burden on my time for the next few days, but I'll have more free time after that.
